A57 Snake Pass
Region:
East Midlands
The A57 Snake Pass is a well-known route through the Peak District, running between Glossop and Sheffield, and is regularly used by riders travelling across this part of the National Park.
This section of the A57 links Greater Manchester and South Yorkshire, making it a familiar road for those riding to and from Glossop, Sheffield and the surrounding Peak District. The open moorland setting and exposed nature of the route mean conditions can change quickly, and it’s often noticeably cooler at the higher points than it is at either end of the pass.
BikerPics returns to Snake Pass throughout the year, photographing riders as they pass a fixed photo point along the route. The road and setting suit clean, natural motorcycle photography, and many riders choose to make more than one pass to vary the images captured.
Images are uploaded to our website after the shoot, where you can view your gallery and order high-quality digital downloads and prints.
We ask all riders to keep it sensible at all times. No wheelies, knee-downs or risky riding.
