A537 Cat & Fiddle
Region:
East Midlands
The A537 at Cat & Fiddle is a well-known moorland road in the Peak District, located around 10–15 minutes from Macclesfield, and regularly ridden by those travelling through this part of the National Park.
Our photo point is positioned jut below the Cat & Fiddle pub on the Macclesfield side, a familiar landmark for riders passing along the A537. This stretch of road is commonly used by those riding to and from Macclesfield, Buxton and the surrounding Peak District, often as part of longer routes across the moors. Worth bearing in mind that even if it’s warm when you set off, it’s often noticeably colder up at the top.
BikerPics returns to the Cat & Fiddle location a few times throughout the year, photographing riders as they pass a fixed photo point along the route. The open setting and steady flow of traffic work well for clear, natural motorcycle images with an incredible backdrop. Riders often make more than one pass to vary their photos as the background is quite different dpending on which direction you are heading.
Images are uploaded to our website after the shoot, where you can view your gallery and order high-quality digital downloads and prints.
We ask all riders to keep it sensible at all times. No wheelies, knee-downs or risky riding
