A39 Countisbury Hill

Region:

South West

The A39 at Countisbury Hill forms part of the approach into Lynton and Lynmouth, running along the edge of Exmoor with open views across the coastline.

This section of the A39 is particularly scenic. When riding up the hill towards Lynton and Lynmouth, the village appears in the background, and when the tide is in the sea sits clearly behind it, creating a distinctive coastal backdrop that’s visible from the road, making this one of the more distinctive approaches into the area. It’s a popular route for riders travelling to and from Lynton and Lynmouth, as well as those combining coastal roads with Exmoor rides.

BikerPics returns to Countisbury Hill several times throughout the year, photographing riders in motion as they pass a fixed photo point on the approach to the coast. The setting makes this a memorable location, and many riders choose to ride through more than once during a visit.

Images are uploaded to our website after the shoot, where you can view your gallery and order high-quality digital downloads and prints.

We ask all riders to keep it sensible at all times. No wheelies, knee-downs or risky riding.
